Required equipment for the repair

• JCID “tag-on” Face ID dot matrix flex cable: A specific replacement flex cable for the iPhone 13 or 13 mini dot projector.
• JCID programming tool: A JCID programmer is required to read and write Face ID data, such as the V1SE, V1S PRO, or V1S Plus models.
• JCID Face ID dot matrix activation board: This is used with the programmer to read and write data from the original and replacement flex cables. 

Repair process overview

1. Read the original data: Connect your JCID programmer to the original, non-functioning Face ID dot matrix flex cable to read its encryption data.
2. Write the data: Write the saved Face ID data to the new JCID tag-on replacement flex cable.
3. Activate the module: Use the programmer to activate the original Face ID module.
4. Connect and install: Physically connect the new tag-on flex cable and install it inside the phone.
